Drake’s, ‘Black Ivy’ Collaboration

It was a pleasure and an honor to design and embroider these limited edition sweaters for Drake’s. A truly unique and exclusive collaboration with one of the finest menswear brands in Savile Row.

The particular occasion behind this launch was the release of Jason Jule’s new book ‘Black Ivy - A revolt in style’. A book about style but also about freedom, fashion history, creativity, and racial struggles.

A series of ultra-limited tops were made especially for the Black Ivy book launch and book signing, in Drake’s store in Canal Street, NYC. Following the tops immense response among Drake’s customers, I and @drakesdiary teamed up again to produce a larger, but still, limited series, available to purchase through their website and shops.

What makes these tops even more special, is the fact that I embroidered them on an ultra-rare, 100-year-old Cornely ACH. A collector piece for some, a workhorse for me.
